About Kimberly

Kimberly Ann Freel was born and raised in rural Okanogan County, Washington, where she still resides with her husband and her four children.  She is a true country girl, her home surrounded by acres and acres of alfalfa, and only happens to more populated areas for shopping or work (far too often these days!)

Kimberly was educated at Seattle University where she received a degree in (of all things) Diagnostic Ultrasound.  Yep, she’s a scientist with a creative side.  She’s worked in the ultrasound field for fifteen years, returning to full-time work just a year ago.

Besides writing, Kimberly is passionate about reading and spending time with her close-knit family and friends.  She also enjoys cooking, gardening, and shopping, as much as her busy life allows.

She reads the local newspaper The Omak-Okanogan Chronicle cover to cover each week and she still takes in Food and Wine Magazine as often as there is time (while bathing kids, watching them swim, and keeping track of them outside.)

Kimberly did the cover designs for all of her first three novels.  The first two  featured, as backgrounds, pictures of the skies surrounding their ranch.  What a way of life!
